Lafayette General’s Urgent Care Centers also offer flu shots and other immunizations, x-rays, lab draws and sports physicals.
Student Sports Physicals
Sport physicals are a great way to make sure your student athlete can safely play before the start of a season. Even if your state or school doesn't require it, sports physicals also help to keep immunizations up to date and provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns. For more information, reach out to any of our urgent cares. No appointment is necessary, but for those looking to reduce their wait time, Skip the Wait options are available. Sport physicals are $25.
Influenza is a potentially serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently, but millions of people get flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized and thousands to tens of thousands of people die from flu-related causes every year. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu. Vaccination has been shown to have many benefits including reducing the risk of flu illnesses, hospitalizations and even the risk of flu-related death in children.
Pediatric Urgent Care
Lafayette General Urgent Care Centers are also a great place for kids. It is the policy of our urgent care centers to treat persons one year of age and older. Children under one year of age can be susceptible to a variety of ailments and need to specifically see a pediatrician. Lafayette General Medical Center offers a Dedicated Pediatric Treatment Area within the Emergency Room. The Pediatric Treatment Area is open every day from 11am – 11pm and is staffed by pediatricians.
