Growth Through Leadership
Acadia General Hospital continues to change the medical landscape in Acadia Parish. AGH positively impacts the communities it serves while bringing quality care, close to home.

Excitement built in the year 2018 and culminated with the grand opening of AGH's new Emergency Department. The three-phase expansion and renovation project was completed under budget and on time. This comes on the heels of other renovations including the replacement of the medical gas compressor, cleaning and painting the exterior of the building to improve its appearance and energy efficiency, window replacements and more.  AGH also invested $2 million in new radiology equipment, including MRI. And through the support of generous donors, AGH replaced all IV Pumps with CareFusion Alaris “smart pumps,” creating a better, quieter experience for patients and caregivers.

Cancer Center of Acadiana clinics in Eunice, Mamou and Ville Platte aligned with AGH to offer infusion services and resources to patients. AGH enhanced its cardiology services through a partnership with Cardiovascular Institute of the South.

The telecardiology program gives patients access to a cardiologist 24/7. Additionally, AGH offers telepsychology, telestroke and telehospitalist. Acadia General Hospital continues to excel by providing Acadia Parish with services tailored to benefit the community.
