Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital, MTS Physical Therapy and University Hospital & Clinics have all been selected by Modern Healthcare as 2019 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The complete list of this year’s winners, in alphabetical order, is available here. Modern Healthcare will announce the official ranking at the Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Gala on Thursday, September 26 at the Renaissance Dallas.

The Best Places to Work in Healthcare awards program was created to recognize companies who continuously strive to improve their work environment and increase employee engagement, satisfaction and retention through innovative changes in the work place.

“At Lafayette General Health, our vision is to be a regional healthcare system that always delivers excellence. This type of award illustrates that our employees are engaged in our vision system-wide, making our facilities great places to work and seek medical treatment. It sends a strong message about our company culture when three vastly different entities are all named among Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare,” says David L. Callecod, FACHE, president of Lafayette General Health.

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

“Whether on the frontline or in the top office, healthcare employees witness moments that can either inspire or dishearten them. That can take a toll on an individual, and healthcare organizations must take extra steps to ensure that highs and lows during the workday don’t impact engagement or performance,” said Modern Healthcare Editor Aurora Aguilar. “This year’s best places to work, voted on by the employees themselves, exemplify what it takes to maintain dedication and satisfaction among its employees and that is the key to good patient care.”
