Lafayette General Health Director Named in 2019 Silicon Bayou Top 100

Lafayette – Cian Robinson, Lafayette General Health (LGH) executive director of innovation, research and real estate investments was named by Silicon Bayou News to the 2019 Silicon Bayou 100 for the fourth year in a row. Now in its eighth year, the awards recognize the 100 most influential and active people in tech and entrepreneurship in Louisiana.

Robinson is responsible for the strategy, growth, development and operational functions of LGH’s Healthcare Innovation Funds, Real Estate Investment Fund, Opportunity Zone Fund as well as research department. To date, the Healthcare Innovation Funds have invested $4.8 million in healthcare startups while the Real Estate Investment Fund has invested $9.0M in property acquisition and redevelopment. In addition, the Lafayette General Health Opportunity fund has been established to seek investment on behalf of the health system’s innovation and real estate strategies.

Whether it’s delivering state-of-the-art healthcare products and services to hospitals within our system, or investing in innovative partnerships, it’s humbling to know this work is being recognized by others.”

Driving innovation is a key cornerstone for the health system. The Healthcare Innovation Fund investment program has devoted money to a number of companies and initiatives that have helped to enhance healthcare.
