LGMC Wellness at the Townhouse
Promoting good health through education, attention to lifestyle and specialized physical activity is the focus of Lafayette General's highly-regarded Wellness Center. Located at 111 Pasa Place, (the old Townhouse restaurant building) next to the Heymann Center, it offers a fully-equipped modern gym and group exercise classes. The Center is staffed by an exercise physiologist, a Wellness LPN, personal trainers and fitness instructors for a safe and effective workout.
LGMC Wellness at the Townhouse offers memberships for general public, corporate, specialty populations, senior citizens and students. Contract lengths are available in 1 year, 6 month or on a month-to-month basis.
Non-Member Facility Access is available in the following options:
- Out-of-town visitor passes – access to gym only
- In-town visitor passes – access to gym only (maximum of 3 visits per calendar year)
- Group Exercise & Yoga Classes – can be purchased individually or as a package
- Personal Training & Private Yoga Sessions – can be purchased individually or as a package
The full service gym is equipped with the latest in cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Flat screen TV’s and free WiFi are available. Group exercise & yoga classes are included with memberships.
Personal training and private yoga sessions are available for members at a discounted rate, on an individual or group basis, in increments of 30 minutes or 1 hour. Sessions can be purchased as a single session or package. Our certified personal trainer will help you achieve your fitness goals by developing a comprehensive, individualized, cardio and strength training regimen.

- Monday - Thursday: 4:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 4:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday - 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday - Closed
As a hospital-based program, the Wellness Center offers all members the option of scheduling a fitness evaluation, which includes a detailed personal medical history and various health screenings; blood pressure analysis, lipid profile with blood glucose screening, YMCA bike test, strength and flexibility testing, body composition testing, and waist/hip measurements. The evaluation process provides an excellent baseline for staff and members to strategize and develop individualized exercise programs.
