More and more, patients are turning to outpatient services for various phases of medical and surgical diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. As they do, they're also turning more and more to LGMC's Burdin-Riehl Ambulatory Care Center (BRACC), the area's only dedicated outpatient facility that's hospital-affiliated.

What makes LGMC's outpatient center so appealing is that it fits consumers' lifestyles, offering same-day service where medically appropriate, to accommodate busy schedules without sacrificing quality. Diagnostics such as laboratory and X-ray tests, surgery and rehabilitation are all obtained in one location, just a convenient and reassuring crosswalk away from our full-service medical facility. That's important if an outpatient procedure turns into a night's stay for observation. Another benefit is that all of a patient's paperwork can be taken care of in advance of a procedure, easing admittance and insurance filing.

Diagnostic and Treatment Services

Services include dental, ear/nose/throat, general, gynecological, opthalmological, orthopedic and plastic surgeries in addition to these diagnostic and treatment services:

• Outpatient laboratory
• EKGs
• GI Lab diagnostics and therapeutics
• Neurodiagnostic (EEGs, evoked potentials)
• Radiology (X-rays, CT scans, Breast Center services, ultrasound)
• Respiratory Services (pulmonary function and stress tests, nebulizer treatments, IPPB treatments, ABGs)

The Burdin Riehl Center also offers pediatric specialty clinics staffed by visiting physicians from New Orleans in areas for which there are not fulltime physicians in Lafayette and surrounding communities. Those include clinics in pediatric neurosurgery, orthopedics, hematology/oncology, general surgery, urology, nephrology, ophthalmology and genetics. Physician referral is required.
