We are your best source for heart care in the region. For the
second straight year we have been recognized as the only Acadiana
hospital and one of only four in the state on Solucient's 100 Top
Cardiovascular Hospitals in America.
Children's Services
We've made pediatrics a priority by pooling a full complement of general,
specialty and critical care services for children from infancy to
16. We have the region's first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit,
a Level III Neonatal ICU and subspecialists in pediatric cardiology,
pulmonary medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, gastroenterology
and allergies.
Women's Services
We've been delivering babies for more than 40 years, and are still
the only hospital in the area with full medical and surgical supports
for them and their moms. Gynecological services complete the full
range of women's offerings with an accredited Breast Center and other
strong programs.
Cancer Care
Our multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care brings together the
best clinicians in inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy, radiation
therapy, biotherapy, symptom management and Hospice care. Clinical
skills and compassion are our hallmarks.
Fitness & Wellness
Looking for the latest in fitness equipment and guidance? Aerobics
classes to meet your fitness level? Weight control? Smoking cessation?
Stress management or massage therapy services? Take advantage of our
Wellness Center programs and seminars.
Minor Emergencies
Physician-staffed "Quick Care" centers are our answer, and yours,
to high quality urgent care on weekends and after hours. We treat
everything from colds and fever to fractures and rashes, even give
immunizations, write prescriptions and do complete physical exams!

Outpatient Services
We're so committed to high quality outpatient services that we've
built Lafayette's only dedicated ambulatory care center that's hospital-affiliated.
Diagnostics, outpatient surgery and rehabilitation are all conveniently
located in one facility and attached by crosswalk to our full-service
hospital.
Home Health Skilled nurses, home
health aides, physical and occupational therapists, social workers
and speech pathologists are all available in our Home Health program.
It's a service highly used for cancer patients, stroke victims, burn
patients, diabetics and children, and covered by most insurance plans.
Older Adult Services
No one tops LGMC's range of services for older adults. Far beyond
meeting their acute and chronic medical needs, we offer support groups,
travel opportunities, immunizations and defensive driving classes,
among other programs.
Occupational Health Talk about
smart business! We keep your employees healthy by promoting preventive
care and education. Screenings range from endurance testing to blood
pressure and finger-stick cholesterol profiles at your site or ours.
Orthopedics and Neurology
We offer full-service inpatient and outpatient orthopedic and neurological
services.
