LAFAYETTE—Lafayette General Medical Center and Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) are proud to announce a joint partnership to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to Lafayette and the surrounding Acadiana communities. Lafayette General partners with CIS in an effort to bring world class physicians, state of the art diagnostic capabilities and the latest technology to detect and treat heart and peripheral vascular disease at LGMC.
Beginning April 1st, CIS will manage the four catheterization labs at Lafayette General. Additionally, CIS will open a second Lafayette office on Lafayette General's campus at 443 Heymann Boulevard which will operate in conjunction with the existing CIS practice on Ambassador Caffery Parkway. CIS will also open a location in Crowley. Three new cardiologists will join the CIS team at Lafayette General: John Patterson, M.D., Nick Cavros, M.D., and Christopher Daniels, M.D. in addition to the four cardiologists currently practicing at CIS in Lafayette: Michael McElderry, M.D., Raghotham Patlola, M.D., Agostino Ingraldi, M.D., and Wade May, M.D.

"We were the first in Acadiana to perform open-heart surgery and heart catheterization and the first to use the Jetstream G2 catheter.
