Diabetes Support Group & Self-Management Program - 02/26/2008 -

Lafayette General’s certified Diabetes Resource Center offers courses in the Diabetes Self-Management Program, as well as a diabetes support group, to help the 7 percent of the population who have diabetes take control of the disease and their lives.
The Self-Management Program provides an individualized approach to living well with diabetes, with input and support from many hospital experts including a diabetes nurse, registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, skin care nurse and other professionals as needed. Participants can choose between group sessions or individual instruction.
The diabetes support group at Lafayette General meets the second Thursday of every month. All local diabetics and family members are welcome.
