Diabetes Awareness Fair - 10/27/2008 -

On Thursday, November 20, the Diabetes Resource Center will host an informational fair and capillary blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, free of charge, to raise awareness of the disease. Participants are encouraged to come fasting for a more accurate glucose test; light breakfast foods such as yogurt, fruit and muffins will be available after testing.
Medical professionals from LGMC will staff a variety of booths offering information on diabetes, foot and skin care, nutrition, exercise and heart disease. In addition, representatives from Abbott Nutrition and Bayer Diabetes will be on hand with samples and goodies.
The Diabetes Awareness Fair will be held in Owen Auditorium, from 7 - 9 am, on November 20. To be certain we have enough tests for all, please RSVP at 289-7329. |
