Severe chest pains or heart attack are often the very first acknowledged signs of heart disease. For that reason, cardiac care in many instances begins in our Chest Pain Emergency Center. We know when chest pain strikes, there is not a moment to spare, so patients are seen immediately to be assessed and stabilized. Our entire staff is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Our Cardio-Trauma room is equipped to care for and monitor the most acute cardiac cases, and skilled cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cath lab technologists and other physician specialists are always on stand-by at our full-service facility.
Heart attacks and heart disease can be prevented and managed if you know what to do. And that begins with knowing the warning signs and knowing where to turn for help. If you experience any suspicious chest pain, or other symptoms that could signal a heart attack, always call 911 immediately.
