BIRTHday Bash, Featuring Bestselling Author - 5/21/2008 -

On June 5, internationally known pediatrician, Dr. Harvey Karp, headlines the grand opening events for The Pavilion at Lafayette General. Dr. Karp will teach his amazing tips from both bestselling books—“The Happiest Baby on the Block” and “The Happiest Toddler on the Block”.
His free seminar will be the finale to an afternoon of fun and learning that will take place at the Heymann Conference Center next door to the hospital. The schedule features:
June 5 12 noon – 6:30 pm; Baby Expo 4:30 pm; Mommy & Me Fashion Show 6:30 pm; Dr. Harvey Karp
At the Baby Expo, expecting mothers can visit booths of a variety of businesses showcasing the latest products for pregnancy and children, including: • Angel Prints • Pippin McGee • Bundle of Joy • Melodi’s Belles & Beaus • Sneak Peek • Baby Sit Tight • Once Upon A Child • The Boutique at LGMC
The fashion show will feature the most trendy clothes for pregnant moms and kids from our Baby Expo vendors.
Dr. Karp, who has appeared on Dr. Phil, Good Morning America, The View, and CNN, and featured in The New York Times, People, Time & Newsweek will demonstrate step by step:
• The Calming Reflex & 5 ‘S’s’ to soothe a crying baby in minutes • Ways to prevent 50 – 90% of toddler temper tantrums • Smart solutions for tricky toddler problems like biting and sleep issues
During the entire day, visitors are encouraged to take our van tours over to LGMC to see the new Pavilion and register for a grand door prize—a stroller from Pippin McGee.
