Outpatient Surgery
Lafayette General maintains a well-respected outpatient surgery program within the hospital, in addition to our partnership with Lafayette General Surgical Hospital. Our scope of services include many procedures not considered surgical, such as lumbar steroid injection (LESI) for pain therapy/treatment done by our anesthesiologist, bronchoscopy, bone marrow biopsies, myleograms.
Other common surgeries include lap cholycystectomy (laprocscopic removal of the gallbladder), knee replacement, hip replacement, carotid endarterectomy, hysterectomy, as well as many pediatric surgeries.
We are experts at taking care of patients throughout the lifespan. What sets the care in outpatient surgery apart is the highly experienced nursing staff, most with over 15 years of experience. They love what they do and do what they love—taking care of the patients.
