Tina Sinegal, CNA, Lorraine Chaisson, CNA and Mona Ledford, Ward Clerk

Sometimes, kindness is all it takes to make a difference. After being discharged from the Emergency Department at Acadia General Hospital, a patient made his way back to the main lobby. Tina Sinegal noticed his appearance and realized the man might be homeless. Sinegal, along with Lorraine Chaisson, gave him a clean shave, a shower and a haircut. But that wasn’t all.

Mona Ledford bought the man a new set clothes with her own money. Even though the patient was unable to speak, the smile on his face spread throughout the hospital. “Caring” and “treatment” aren’t just medical terms. Thank you to the AGH employees for “Making a Difference”.
