12/24/2012

Lafayette General Medical Center announces the appointment of Geoff Daily as the Development Director of Lafayette General Foundation for Healthcare Innovation.
Daily joins the Lafayette General team after having spent the last two and a half years founding and running FiberCorps, a non-profit formed by a coalition of community partners with the goal of making Lafayette into a testing ground for next-generation Internet service. FiberCorps helped establish the first telemedicine clinic in Acadiana between Lafayette General Medical Center and Stuller, Inc. Daily was also involved with integrating the Louisiana Health Information Exchange.

As head of the Foundation, Daily will be instrumental in organizing fund-raising efforts for the Foundation through grant writing, networking and event planning.

The Lafayette General Foundation for Healthcare Innovation raises funds and awareness for reinvestment initiatives to help restore, maintain and improve health care at LGMC and its affiliates. The Foundation aims to attract support of corporations, foundations and individuals to secure the resources needed for LGMC to advance health care throughout Acadiana.
