Matthew Sibille, RN - LGMC ER

2/4/2015

A few days after Christmas, the home of Acadian Ambulance crew member Brian Guillory was burglarized. Soon after, the office of Acadian Ambulance received a phone call from a nurse at Lafayette General Medical Center who remembered Brian from bringing in patients.

Matthew Sibille, a nurse in LGMC’s ER, had learned of the theft and was contacting the ambulance company to notify them that he was on his way over with some gifts. He was just leaving Wal-Mart with a flat-screen TV and a PlayStation 4 to drop off and was calling the ambulance station to see if Brian was there. The compassion of some of our workers extends well beyond our patients and our own staff, and that is incredible. Matthew helped turn a travesty into a great Christmas story.
