For Lisa Koch, LPN at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital, compassion doesn’t stop when it’s time to clock out for the day. Shortly before historic floodwaters swept through much of Acadiana, Lisa opened up her own home to a friend who needed assistance recovering from colostomy surgery.
But that’s not all.
After the flood, she opened her home yet again to another individual affected by the weather. Lisa would bring this new guest to her doctor’s appointments while still caring for her friend during his battle with cancer. Lisa represents what it means to be a “caregiver”, making a difference on and off the clock. All with a smile on her face!
