LGMD announces new Chief Administrative Officer

The physicians’ group Lafayette General Medical Doctors (LGMD) has announced that Al J. Patin has been named its Chief Administrative Officer starting June 24.

Patin will lead and provide support for development, growth and promotion of LGMD. His position will provide executive leadership over multiple business units related to operations of Lafayette General affiliates.

"I am looking forward to advancing the mission of Lafayette General Medical Doctors and working together with this great network of physicians," he says.

Patin comes to LGMD after serving in his previous position as Regional Vice President with Parish Management Consultants, LLC, in Metairie, LA. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Lafayette General Medical Center in various capacities working as a medical services director, coordinator and as a Registered Nurse.

"Al Patin knows Lafayette General," says Lafayette General President/CEO David L. Callecod, FACHE. "His previous experience working on the clinical side of health care will benefit Lafayette General Medical Doctors. He will continue the growth of our LGMD program.”

With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Patin earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He also completed the Wharton School of Business Anesthesia Leadership Program in 2010.

The chief administrative officer is a new position replacing the vice president of physician practices, filled previously by Brian Kirk, who accepted a new position as Chief Financial Officer at University Medical Center.
