LGMC wins “Excellence in Patient Care” award

Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC) is receiving the “Excellence in Patient Care” award from Studer Group®, an outcomes-based firm that mentors hospitals and health systems across the country. LGMC earned this recognition for having exemplary “communication with nurses” results on the federal government’s national HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) patient survey.

The “Excellence in Patient Care” award is given to select organizations coached by Studer Group based on various categories. To be eligible for an award, an organization must demonstrate outstanding performance in patient care. LGMC is being recognized for their HCAHPS composite score for third quarter 2012-second quarter 2013.

LGMC will accept the award at Studer Group’s 12th annual “What’s Right in Health Care” conference, scheduled August 7-8 in Chicago, IL.
