LGMC raises funds for Hearts of Hope

6/28/2013

Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC) supported United Way’s "Day of Action” by raising money for Hearts of Hope, which offers support services for the sexually abused.

At an information seminar held in the hospital lobby June 21, citizens and employees in attendance were asked to sign an individual heart, for which LGMC made a $10 donation for each name. Fifty-six hearts were signed, raising $560.

A teddy bear drive was also held to donate to children of Hearts of Hope. Teddy bear sales netted an additional $353 donation, and a total of 86 bears were collected.

Hearts of Hope, formerly known as Stuller Place, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency.
