LGH Garners Prestigious Industry Awards
Several Lafayette General Health (LGH) affiliates received honors from Press Ganey Associates, Inc., a national leader in healthcare analytics. Press Ganey’s prestigious Pinnacle of Excellence Award and Guardian of Excellence Award honors were bestowed to Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette General Surgical Hospital, St. Martin Hospital and LGMD Physician Group. The Pinnacle of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing clients from healthcare organizations nationwide on the basis of extraordinary achievement and consistently high levels of excellence for three years. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in select categories.
Pinnacle of Excellence Award winners were Lafayette General Medical Center for Patient Experience in Inpatient Care, and Lafayette General Surgical Hospital for Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery.
Guardian of Excellence Award winners were Lafayette General Medical Center for Excellence for Patient Experience in Inpatient Care and HCAHPS; LGMD Physician Group for Patient Experience in Medical Practice; Lafayette General Surgical Hospital for Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery; St. Martin Hospital for Patient Experience in the Emergency Room; and also St. Martin Hospital for Patient Experience in Outpatient Services.

Callecod, FACHE, President of LGH, the award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience. “Seeing these awards being presented across our health system demonstrates a consistent standard of excellence that people come to expect from our facilities,” says Callecod. “I’m proud to see that our facilities are delivering on that promise determined by real, measurable results.”
