Lafayette General Foundation Appoints Development Officer


Lafayette General Foundation (LGF) welcomes Chrissy Guilbeaux Thompson to her new role as Development Officer. Thompson brings years of experience in the medical field to oversee a variety of fundraising activities, grow resources, build donor relations and raise awareness to support the mission of LGF.

Thompson is a marketing and public relations executive with over 16 years of business experience in management, marketing, public relations, business protocol, patient referral and more. She has a wide range of experience in for-profit and non-profit arenas. Her well-rounded background includes; team management, territory management, program implementation, strategic marketing and planning, brand development, media relations, community outreach, non-profit management and charity event planning.

Most recently, she served as the Sales and Marketing Director for Preferred Anatomic Pathology Services. She worked to acquire new accounts and maintain existing ones. As a public liaison, she educated the community on programs directly related to pathology.

“We are excited to welcome Chrissy to the LGF family. She is going to be a great asset,” said Cian Robinson, Executive Director of the Lafayette General Foundation. “Her intricate knowledge of the needs of both patients and this community makes her a perfect fit for the Foundation.”

Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She’s extremely involved in the community, serving as a member of Louisiana Medical Group Management and as a board member of Kiwanis Club of Lafayette and Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.

“I’m so excited at the opportunity to help so many people,” said Thompson. “I’ve seen the difference Lafayette General has made in this community. To be able to educate people about all of our hospitals and how LGF supports them is an exciting endeavor. “
